As previously mentioned, on 9 July 2020, Shanghai LifenGas signed a 10-year argon supply contract for LFAr-3000 with Wuhai Jingyuntong New Material Technology Co., Ltd. and started to supply recovered pure argon gas to Jingyuntong from May 2021 onwards. Monthly argon recovery for Jingyuntong is 3,343 tonnes; this project can save the customer about 60 million RMB a year in liquid argon purchase costs, so Shanghai LifenGas has initiated the establishment of SOG business cooperation with the customer.
Subsequently, in February 2021, July 2021, November 2021, August 2022, and June 2023, Shanghai LifenGas Company signed gas supply contracts with Baotou Meike, Qujing JA, Hohhot Huayao Photovoltaic, Yibin Gokin, and Xining Jinko, respectively, and started to supply gas upon completion of construction of their respective projects. Meanwhile, each user adjusts the operating time and load at the appropriate time according to the sales of its own PV products. Jingyuntong ceased operations in May 2024 and Meike in August 2024.
Shanghai LifenGas' SOG and SOE business cooperation model have demonstrated its economic benefits in the PV industry, significantly reducing the customer's purchase cost by recovering disposal argon gas.
Despite facing market fluctuations and changes in customer demands, such as the cessation of operations of Wuhai Jingyuntong and Baotou Meike, Shanghai LifenGas has continued to optimise its services to suit the needs of different customers, demonstrating its flexibility and commitment to customer service. Shanghai Lifengas Company's SOG business and SOE cooperation model are not only recognised in the photovoltaic industry, but have also gradually attracted the attention of other industries with high argon consumption. Such as the electronics industry, metal materials processing, etc. have also begun to seek cooperation with Shanghai LifenGas, hoping that through the argon recovery and reuse technology to reduce production costs and enhance environmental benefits. This trend for the Shanghai LifenGas to develop new markets provide opportunities, but also for more industries to achieve green manufacturing provides an opportunity.
