Recently, Shanghai LifenGas successfully completed the MPC (Model Predictive Control) optimisation project for a set of 60,000 Nm3/h air separation unit of Benxi Steel. Through advanced control algorithms and optimisation strategies, the project has brought significant energy savings and consumption reduction to the customer, with total energy consumption reduced by more than 2%.
The optimisation project not only improved the plant's operating efficiency, but also implemented the key 'one-click adjustment' function, which allows operators to quickly adjust the plant's operating status under different load conditions. In addition, during stable operation, the system is able to automatically perform optimisation control and edge control, effectively reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
The use and optimisation of the MPC control system has significantly reduced the frequency of manual operation by the operator and improved the overall level of automation. This not only reduces the instability caused by human intervention, but also further ensures the continuity and safety of the production process. The success of this project has brought obvious economic benefits to Benxi Iron & Steel and also demonstrated Shanghai Lianfeng's technical strength in industrial automation and intelligent control.
