Shanghai LifenGas has completed the construction and successful launch of an oxygen plant for Xinyuan Environmental Protection Metal Technology Co., Ltd. in Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County. Despite a tight schedule and limited space, the plant started producing high quality gases on 24 May 2024, only eight months after the start of construction. This project marks another success for Shanghai LifenGas in the metal smelting industry.
The plant uses advanced cryogenic air separation technology, which offers significant energy savings compared to conventional methods. It can simultaneously produce liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, gaseous nitrogen and gaseous oxygen to meet different production needs.
Through optimised design, this low purity oxygen plant with a capacity of 9,400 cubic metres per hour was installed on a compact 1,000 square metre site. Liquid nitrogen and oxygen storage tanks were also added, demonstrating efficient use of space and installation in a confined area.
The customer started using the gas on 1 July 2024. After a month of testing, the plant demonstrated a stable gas supply and effectively met the customer's requirements, earning its approval.
While ensuring high efficiency and output, the Xinyuan Oxygen Plant in Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County prioritises environmental protection and sustainable development. The cryogenic air separation process not only saves energy but also reduces environmental impact, reflecting Shanghai LifenGas' commitment to green manufacturing.
The successful operation of the plant enhances the company's competitiveness in the metal smelting industry while providing significant economic and environmental benefits to the customer. This project exemplifies Shanghai LifenGas' philosophy of combining technological innovation with environmental responsibility.
