Ningxia East Hope:Argon Recovery Unit Installation Completed

On October 20, 2023, Shanghai LifenGas and Ningxia Crystal New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. signed an EPC contract for a set of 570Nm3/h Argon Recovery Plant. This project will recover the waste argon gas generated in the crystal pulling process for the project assembly workshop of the first phase of the polysilicon project with an annual output of 125,000 tons of polysilicon of Ningxia Crystal New Energy Materials Co.

On October 20, 2024, Shanghai LifenGas completed the construction of the argon gas recovery plant and get the gas-supply ready. This unit is our smallest argon recovery unit(ARU), serving 120 sets of single crystal pullers, the total recycled gas volume of about 570Nm³/h. Our technical team has overcome the challenges, i.e. energy saving and consumption reduction, breaking the traditional cognition, proving that even if the small gas volume of argon gas recovery, still has operability and high economic value.

This project draws on the successful experience of the previous argon recovery project, still using physical separation methods for the purification of raw gas, the core device for the cold box, and for the refinement of the project, equip the nitrogen recycling system, reduce argon consumption, increase the stability of the device.

Our ARU installation experience, on-site management in an orderly manner, the construction staff is familiar with the construction, safety personnel throughout the guardianship, each perform their duties, as well as the company's technical team and the coordination of the various departments, ensure that the installation of the 0 safety accidents, 0 quality problems! No rework items, construction of a mold, improve construction efficiency, to ensure construction quality.

Due to the weather and the owner's side of the reason, the commissioning work will not be carried out for the time being. I believe when this system is running, this unit can certainly give the owner a satisfaction, can provide a bench-marking solution, i.e. energy saving, cost reduction for small amount of gas recycling for the single crystal pulling operating units.

On October 20, 2024, Shanghai LifenGas completed construction of the argon gas recovery plant and prepared it for gas supply. This unit is our smallest argon recovery unit (ARU), serving 120 single crystal pullers with a total recycling capacity of approximately 570Nm³/h. Our technical team has overcome several challenges, particularly in energy efficiency and consumption reduction. We have challenged traditional assumptions by demonstrating that even small-scale argon gas recovery operations can be both feasible and highly economical.

The project builds upon the successful experience of previous argon recovery installations, utilizing physical separation methods for raw gas purification with a cold box as the core device. To refine the process further, we equipped the system with nitrogen recycling capabilities to reduce argon consumption and increase system stability.

Our ARU installation proceeded smoothly, with well-organized on-site management and experienced construction personnel. Safety officers maintained constant oversight, and all team members performed their duties effectively. Thanks to excellent coordination between our technical team and various departments, we achieved zero safety incidents and zero quality issues. By implementing standardized construction methods and avoiding any rework, we improved construction efficiency while maintaining high quality standards.

Due to weather conditions and factors on the client's side, commissioning work has been temporarily postponed. However, we are confident that once operational, this system will meet the client's expectations and serve as a benchmark for energy efficiency and cost reduction in small-scale gas recycling for single crystal pulling operations.
