Zhejiang AikoSolar Technology Co, Ltd's KDON-700/28000-600Y high purity nitrogen ASU, part of a new generation high efficiency crystalline silicon solar cell project with an annual capacity of 15GW, has been successfully put into operation. This bulk gas electromechanical project, supplied and constructed by Shanghai LifenGas, overcame the challenges of a tight schedule and extremely limited space.
Shanghai LifenGas Co., Ltd. initiated the back-up system in September 2023. Qualified product gases, including high-purity nitrogen and ultra-pure nitrogen, were produced on 1 December 2023, while the production of high-purity oxygen and ultra-pure oxygen started on 23 May 2024. This project marks a significant achievement in Shanghai LifenGas' implementation of medium and large-scale air separation and purification units.
The project uses advanced cryogenic air separation technology, which offers significant improvements in stability and reliability over traditional methods. Remarkably, the oxygen produced by this ASU achieves 99.9999% purity without the need for a purifier, as confirmed by an authoritative testing agency.
The design of the ASU incorporates four air compressors, three in use and one on standby, allowing flexible gas volume adjustments to meet varying customer production requirements. Operational experience has shown that this ASU can produce qualified gas even at lower loads, meeting the diverse production requirements of customers.
After several months of testing, the ASU has demonstrated its ability to consistently meet customers' gas demand with a stable supply and has received positive feedback. The successful operation of this ASU not only represents a significant milestone in Shanghai LifenGas' project portfolio, but also demonstrates the company's technical strength and project execution capabilities. By providing high purity and stable gas supply, it ensures smooth production activities for customers.
