The krypton-xenon purification process starts with crude production and uses equipment such as low-temperature liquid oxygen pumps, reaction furnaces, purifiers and fractionation towers. The crude krypton-xenon concentrate undergoes several processes including pressurisation, catalytic reaction, adsorption, purification, heat exchange and distillation. The end products, high purity liquid krypton and liquid xenon, are obtained at the bottom of their respective pure distillation columns.
Our refinery can process krypton-xenon concentrate from our concentration process, purchased krypton-xenon concentrate or purchased crude krypton-xenon mixtures. The main products are pure krypton and pure xenon, with oxygen as a by-product.
