Short Description:

Deuterium treatment of optical fiber is a crucial process for producing low water peak optical fiber. It prevents subsequent combination with hydrogen by pre-binding deuterium to the peroxide group of the optical fiber core layer, thereby reducing the hydrogen sensitivity of the optical fiber. Optical fiber treated with deuterium achieves stable attenuation near the 1383nm water peak, ensuring the transmission performance of the optical fiber in this band and meeting the performance requirements of full-spectrum optical fiber. The optical fiber deuteration treatment process consumes large amounts of deuterium gas, and directly discharging waste deuterium gas after use causes significant waste. Therefore, implementing a deuterium gas recovery and recycling device can effectively reduce deuterium gas consumption and lower production costs.

Product Description

The device primarily consists of six systems: collection system, pressurization system, purification system, gas distribution system, return supply system, and PLC control system.
Collection system: Comprises a filter, gas collection valve, oil-free vacuum pump, low-pressure buffer tank, etc. The main function of this system is to collect deuterium gas from the deuteration tank into the low-pressure buffer tank.
Booster system: Uses a deuterium gas compressor to compress the waste deuterium gas collected by the collection system to the working pressure required by the system.
Purification system: Consists of a purification barrel and adsorbent, employing a double barrel design that can be switched uninterruptedly according to actual conditions.
Gas distribution system: Used to adjust the deuterium concentration of deuterated gas, which can be set by the factory according to requirements.
Return system: Composed of pipelines, valves, and instruments, its purpose is to send the deuterium gas from the product tank to the deuteration tank where it is needed.
PLC system: Automatic control system for recycling and utilization equipment and production operations. It effectively monitors the production process of complete equipment, ensures reliable operation, and facilitates convenient operation and maintenance. The PLC computer system handles display, recording, and adjustment of main process parameters, start-up interlocking and accident interlocking protection of recycling equipment, and main process parameter reports. The system alarms when parameters exceed limits or system failures occur.

Workflow

① Place the optical fiber in the deuteration tank and lock the tank door;
② Start the vacuum pump to reduce the pressure in the tank to a certain level, replacing the original air in the tank;
③ Fill the mixed gas with the required concentration ratio to the required pressure and enter the deuteration stage;
④ After deuteration is completed, start the vacuum pump to recover the mixed gas in the tank to the outdoor purification workshop;
⑤ The recovered mixed gas is purified by purification equipment and then stored in the product tank.
